DESCRIPCIÓN:
Antimetabolito de folato
Se utiliza para enfermedades malignas (p. ej., cáncer de mama, linfoma no Hodgkin, ALL) y no malignas (p. ej., artritis reumatoide, artritis idiopática juvenil, psoriasis); metotrexato intratecal utilizado para la profilaxis y el tratamiento de la leucemia meníngea
Su uso está contraindicado en pacientes con diagnóstico no maligno que estén embarazadas; Debido al potencial de reacciones adversas graves o fatales, el tratamiento con metotrexato requiere un médico experimentado.
